Kemayau Fruit Benefit

Kemayau ...! Dacryodes rostrata f. Cuspidata (Blume) HJLam is a synonym of Dacryodes rostrata (Blume) HJLam. This name is a synonym of Dacryodes rostrata (Blume) HJLam.

Kemayau fruit is less well known by the people of Indonesia, in because fruit is rarely cultivated people. The tree thrives on the road to the bathing place in the river Lubai. The tree is 30 meters high, the wind is 100 centimeters, the branches are numerous, the leaves are lush and the fruit is thick.

The Borneans call this fruit Kembayau. In Brunei it is also called Kembayau. Sarawakians call it the fruit of Dabai (Dabai fruit). It can be found mainly in Sibu (aka Sibu "olive") but like anything that can reap the benefits of this little fruit has made it the way to any market in Sarawak.

How to eat it is first rinse then soak in warm water until soften. Season with salt or black soy sauce. Fresh taste of yellowish cream. Actually you can defend it just by soaking it in a pitcher with black soy sauce or with coarse salt (without seeds). I believe there are street vendors selling Dabai fried rice too.

The second best thing out of a single fruit seed. Wash cleanly and dried in the sun to dry the triangle seeds. Solve it by using mortar and alu coz I found that the peanut cracker device does not work on this seed.

This is a forest fruit that is rarely encountered because of the narrowness of the forest area in our area, this plant is commonly found in the jungle area, and the forest is now almost extinct, how not, expansion of plantations and mining rampant especially dikalimantan west, destroy hundreds of hectares of land, Once indeed, because I already feel how delicious this one fruit, really amazed to feel the fruits of this one is mixed with forest honey, tasted fat, sweet and delicious, yumii. Many actually the real potential of forest fruits are exotic taste and shape, but unfortunately most of us start to leave the natural heritage of the forest, especially forest dikalimantan.
